Actually, "Born of a virgin birth" meant you were born out of wedlock. It did not mean that your mother was a virgin.

For the idiots giving me a thumbs down...you people may want to read a book other than the Bible. There is documented evidence that "born of a virgin birth" was a well known phrase among the Jewish communities during the time of Jesus. Jesus was not the only person born of a "virgin birth". That was a common term for illegitimate children.

Read "Cows, Wars, Witches, Pigs" by anthropologist Marvin Harris, you morons might learn something.

Jesus IS God. To elevate a complicated concept, there is in basic terms one God. yet he's created from 3 "persons," that's the closest word i ought to arise with. One God, 3 "centers of ethical experience." God the father, God the Son (Jesus), God the Holy Spirit. All are God Himself, and none gave existence to a distinctive. the father did not provide existence to the Son, somewhat, the relationship between the two consciousnesses is as a father is in direction of his son. All 3 matter on one yet another, and without each and every "person" God would not be who he's. So Jesus replaced into no messenger of God nor a baby of God, He replaced into God, the 2d 'person' of the trinity who got here all the way down to earth contained in this sort of the only acceptable person, yet nevertheless God.

I love how religious people assume that if you question anything in there bible you must be atheist. I also just cant get enough of religous people picking and choosing what to take literally and what to take metaphorically. You have now way of knowing the intentions of the writer. I also love how people can blindly follow a "book" written thousands of years ago by men hundreds of years after the actual events took place and say that it is 100% infalable. Im not saying a person shouldnt be religious but what I am saying is that if your gonna be religious believe what you want and leave other people the hell alone. I for instance believe in a God but dont particularly care for religion. they are 2 very different things. religion and peoples beliefs have single handedly ruined most of our world. it has been the cause of countless wars and fights. all because religion has a built us vs them mentality. an all knowing all loving god would want us to all get along and respect each others beliefs and boundaries but thats wahat i think. you a free to think however you want thats the beauty of freedom.

So do you think he was lying to the pharisees?

Matt: 26:63 But Jesus remained silent. The high priest said to him, “I charge you under oath by the living God: Tell us if you are the Christ, the Son of God.” 64 “Yes, it is as you say,” Jesus replied. “But I say to all of you: In the future you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Mighty One and coming on the clouds of heaven.” 65 Then the high priest tore his clothes and said, “He has spoken blasphemy! Why do we need any more witnesses? Look, now you have heard the blasphemy.

It's not blasphemy to claim to be God's servant.

Barry is the son of God. Jesus is the only begotten of God. Big difference. How is it that you can read so well, and understand so poorly?

I think it makes sense more than considering Jesus Christ, PBUH, as a son of God...

Thanks for pointing this out...

Peace!

Yes, they grabbed the virgin birth stuff from prevalent Pagan myths circulating at the time. They were fighting from within the citadel, so to speak, putting their new god in terms that could be underdstood by others.

That's not really a question but yes I agree with you. The Lord is triune, and Jesus is God. God is my father and your father. Amen!
