Why do people believe there are more terrorist because we went into Aphganistan & Iraq? That the only reason terrorist kill is because of US.

Doesn't is seem more that the terrorist are really just exposed? That they have already been there?

Many have died after 9/11.
Some believe more Muslims are becoming Jihadist because of the war.
The jihad teaching was around a longtime before the war.

You did not "fight back", you attacked a country that had nothing to do with 9-11. How can you not understand why Iraquis hate you? They have been attacked by a former ally (USA).

Imagine Canada would attack you next week. Would you then throw bombs on Mexico? And then you would wonder why Mexicans don't like you anymore????
That is what happened.

Why is it not terrorism when american soldiers throw bombs on people's houses, shoot all people inside? Why do your media call that "heroes defending their country" ????

Imagine some turkish soldiers would invade Texas or Ohio, they would throw Bombs on big cites and make them into ashes, storm into families' houses and shoot all people inside.

Would these Turks then be terrorists or "heroes defendig their country"?????

Why is it terrorism when other people do it, and when Americans do the same thing, they are heroes ?????

This attitude is the reason why the whole world hates America, and it is amazing to me that you still don't get it.

The propaganda machine works, it seems. Stay away from all Fox-related media, read news in other languages online, so you can learn what really happens. Your government is lying to you!

Listen to Rosie O'Donnell, she understood what really is going on, and look what treatment she received by her own people. She tells the truth, but Americans do not want to hear the (ugly) truth.

There will come a time you will have to listen.

This idea that the government keeps putting across that we have to fight terrosim or else is a bunch of horsesh#t in my opinion. How in God's name is anyone going to stop anyone from doing something terrible like 911 or any other horrific thing. We can't, nobody can. We can try to be more aware and not so layed back about stuff, but that still really isn't going to make our country or any country in the world safe from people who are setting out to do harm to someone. Your living in a fantasy world if you believe that.
Small examples of what I mean. Just recently there was a plan within the U.S. to blow up JFK or something like that. This was being planned inside the U.S. Look at what our people do to our own people. I don't know if you'd call this terrorism but look at what happened at Virginia Tech. The omish school and the young kids. Columbine High School ring a bell.
Anyway throughout time there's always been nut cases in the world trying to make there point by doing hatefull things to proove it, that's never going to stop and predicting it is a loosing game.

The reason is because we didn't target terrorists. We targeted political enemies, using terrorism as an excuse. And that has simply given our political enemies reason to support those terrorists. We have also given people who were formerly more "moderate" in their Islamic faith reason to become extremists.

Anyone that sees friends and family die from an attack by "non-believers", regardless of the reason, is going to be more likely to join militant organizations.

The world is most definitely a more dangerous place since Bush took office.

There are more terrorists because you fought back at the wrong target.

No-one seriously objected to the U.S. going after Osama in Afghanistan--even moderate Islamic countries supported it.

But going into Iraq based on lies and Bush's personal agenda changed the perception of the U.S. as righteous avengers into agressive invaders--which combined with destablizing Iraq created the perfect recruiting ground for Islamic radicals

Yes, terrorists have always been there and now we're kind of waking up to that fact. Now however, we seem to be finding, and making 'homegrown' terrorists. Everybody with a beef with America now has a new outlet to 'release their frustrations'. Prisons are breeding these people, whether they knowingly do it, I don't know. Prisoners used to flock to Christianity, now they band together and dream of the revenge they can get. It's a scary thought.

Probably, as a matter of fact playing the victim gives you more benefits. If you strike back harder than necessary, or to the wrong person, people tend to consider you a bully(or in this case a terrorist).

There are more terrorists because of the political blunders that have been made. Fighting back against the wrong people in the wrong places only creates more enemies.

Al Qaeda was only 2,500 people when 9/11 occurred.

Invading Afghanistan reduced that number.

Invading Iraq increased it to between 25,000 and 45,000.

At this point, whether we stay in Iraq or leave is irrelevant. We have strengthened Al Qaeda and ensured their survival for generations to come by blundering our way into Iraq.

An increase in the number of active terrorists is more likely to be due to the success of the 9/11 attacks. gives people of a terrorist disposition a bit of encouragement... they kind of think, wow, imagine we could do something like that without having a huge amount of resources
