We are restored to Father God through the atonement for our sins provided by the Son, the Lamb of God. The atonement received through an act of faith, confessing Jesus Christ ones Lord & Savior and believing in ones heart He raised from the dead. This is born of His Spirit and then it is through this seal of the Holy Spirit where we can pray to Father God or Jesus 24/7 by the Holy Spirit, in spirit & truth.
If, as a child of God, sin; the Holy Spirit convicts us & we pray to Jesus, confessing our sin where Jesus promises to forgive us our sin & cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

It isn't demanded. The Son told us when we pray to say "Our Father Who art in heaven". The Son said we can address the Father directly.
