Are you talking about WIVA?

I would call a meeting of the IEP team and discuss placement.

If you missed the open enrollment for whatever reason, then you may be out of luck. There are enrollment deadlines for a reason.

You're just going to have to talk to the IEP team and the school staff if you haven't already.

** EDIT for other responders. It seems to me she *is* looking for a public school program, thus the "one the state of WI will pay for". She is not looking for conventional HS'ing curricula, etc.

I'm confused about the question. Open enrollment for homeschooling for the next school year should still be going on. You need to call the district office, or whoever is in charge of homeschooling, and talk to them.

You need to contact the Wisconsin school officials. Also, it sounds as though the open enrollment program is not traditional homeschooling, but rather "public school at home." Deadlines are important and since you missed this very important one, please call the school officials, apologize profusely, and perhaps they will make an exception for you.

I hope this is helpful.

You really need to be careful. If you enroll your children in a public school, distance learning, environment, you are dictated to by the Public School System.

I would recommend the "Homeschool Legal Defense Association", www.hslda.org. They have a "getting started" and facts pertaining to your state, to get you going.

I use ABEKA homeschool curriculum, and it is terrific! Check out HSLDA first for all the info you need! Then request a startup packet from them or your state's homeschool association.

I'm not sure I really understand your question, but in WI you have until Oct. 15th to send in your notification with intent to homeschool.

I'm not sure about the program you're trying to get your kid into, but you can still homeschool.
