Yes, it is dangerous if you've never met the person. But it can also be awesome. My sister met a really great guy online and now they're engaged.
Just be CAREFUL

You've only talked for a week. I'd give a month probably more.
I've met a girl on the internet before at a mall since it was a public place to set up a meeting. You should talk through cell phone as well. Probably webcam too. All of these are just for verification.
I live in St. Louis and it is also known as the most dangerous city in America. Not that that should change your mind or anything.
This world has gotten really bad if we always assume the worst in people we don't know but not the best.
In another case I met coincidentedly a girl I messaged online and said hey I know you from myspace and she probably got freaked out and considered it very stalkerish. I even had common friends with her. It just depends on people. I don't see much wrong with it.

If you do end up meeting with him be very carefull && make sure it's in an open place where lots of people are...
I think it can happen but not the full fledged "love" maybe a portion of love but not the whole sha bang...I'm sure you have feelings for him && what not it can happen my best friend has done this alot I'm not saying it's wrong by any means all I'm saying if you think you absolutelly need to meet him just be very carefull there are some weird characters out in that mean cruel world of ours. && some lie about certain things anyone can be behind that computer you just never know but I hope everything works out for your best interest good luck!

I think you can easily connect with someone on the internet but I don't know how well it would work out. Personally physical attraction is #1 so how can that happen until you actually meet the person.

Follow your instincts and be very careful, the internet is full of actors and psychos. Don't let him pressure you. Having a lot in common doesn't make anyone your soulmate, be realistic and don't set yourself up for disappointment.

It's not a real love until you meet him.Anyway,I believe
you feel you like him.It happened to me few times too. It's easy to start to like someone from the internet because you never see him angry or nervous..you just see him as a perfect boy coz he behaves like this on the internet. You can pretend anything on the internet.Meet him and see what he is like.I met few boys trought the internet and we became real friends:-)Even my penfriend from Filand went to CZ(my homecountry)to see me.Good luck!
