We were created through a long process called biological evolution.

The universe was the result of the Big Bang. We have no information on what caused the Big Bang, if anything.

Cindy,

The Bible (see Genesis, Chapter 1) says that God spoke and life appeared - that's how powerful He is. The concept that life evolved from single-celled critters to what we see today is predicated on countless assmuptions and speculations. There is no COMPELLING evidence for the spontaneous origin of life, in fact, the whole idea goes against everything we know in science. Life shows evidence of desgin, and we don't see any new life forms popping up on this planet today - which is what you'd expect to see if evolution is accurate.

I can see I would spend a lot more of my day explaining what I think and why than fireball (LOL). This is not a simple question. Here's a simple answer:

Cellular life emerged about 3.5 billion years ago through natural processes, then slowly diverged and evolved into the forms we have now, including humans.

We were created in Gods own image, by Him, and the earth and all the things in it were created by God as well.

We were not.

To say were created means that we have to have a creator.

The universe happened. Life happened. Humans evolved.

I honestly don't know. I believe in evolution, but I don't know the original origin. I don't really spend a lot of time trying to figure it out. Unless your a scientist does it really matter?
