Kinda like God taking your older (or any age) family members or whoever, and giving you a new person, such as a baby in your life. I have a friend who's Mother was told she would not have much more time to live and my friend is fixing to get a new grandbaby. I want to tell her something to make her feel a little better like God is bringing this baby into her life to bring her happiness in this difficult time. What I asked may sound crazy, but oh well, I do beleive that is what is did. She is really religious and I do not know much about the Bible. I do not want to hear that I should read it and learn it, I just want an answer to my question. Thanks!

God gives us people in our lives for all different reasons, but one is never to take the place of another. Yes, this is a difficult time for your friend, but being difficult isn't necessarily a bad thing, it's how we learn and grow in a lot of ways. If we didn't have difficult times we wouldn't appreciate the good times nearly as much and we wouldn't become the people that God wants us to become.

out with the old in with the new

The same thing happened in my family . My dad died and news of a grandson just days before. It's kinda common. God is a Comforter.
She, your friend, already no doubt sees the parallel. The baby in my family rescued us all. We were able to take our minds off the pain of dad's absence by the anticipation of the arrival

A cousin of mine also had the same thing. There, it was a grandmother and a granddaughter. Grandma stayed around long enough to see the birth and hold her before succumbing.

Really nothing can help the pain of having to accept a deep loss approaching. Like watching a loved one on a railroad track as a train slowly heads towards them. Not to mention the great deal of hope against all hope that God will relent. Just try and be there for her. Even quietly will be appreciated.
be careful of the desire for big picture observations They are not always whats needed. Hugs and silence speak volumes

In Luke 2:24 is the story of Simeon who had known that he would live just long enough to see the Messiah come. In the third chapter Ecclesiates is where the group 'The Byrds' got their inspiration for the song 'Turn, Turn, Turn.

You already have alot of great verses showing, so I will say this, it is very sweet of you to want to tell your friend this and there is nothing wrong with sharing it like that from your heart. She will understand your intent. She understand you wish to bring comfort to her heart. Just remember she will still grieve for her loss when it comes and she will have joy at the new birth as well. It is our reaction to death of a love one and the joy at the birth of a new family member.

To everything there is a season,
a time for every purpose under the sun.
A time to be born and a time to die;
a time to plant and a time to pluck up that which is planted;
a time to kill and a time to heal ...
a time to weep and a time to laugh;
a time to mourn and a time to dance ...
a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing;
a time to lose and a time to seek;
a time to rend and a time to sew;
a time to keep silent and a time to speak;
a time to love and a time to hate;
a time for war and a time for peace.
