What is a place you can volunter to walk dogs???

I need something to do this summer.

Visit your local humane society...they are usually staffed entirely of volunteers and always need help.
If not, try a nursing home, some still allow pets, and elderly people may need help with their pet. Also, you would be helping out someone else in the process.

Your best bet would be contacting your local animal shelters and humane societys. Only thing is you usually have to met age requirements. Also try going in to local Veterinarians offices and ask if you can put a flyer on their message boards offering your services. Maybe some local households would need your help, especially the elderly who hae trouble walking their dogs. Especially in the summers heat.My praise to you on wanting to do this. The animals that are stuck in cages all day will appreciate you. Have fun and be safe =)

Depends on how old you are and where you live. At least in the US.

Animal shelters, kennels and veterinarians are businesses and need to be covered by insurance. That means there are child-labor laws - that even covers volunteers.

So first, check out the child labor laws in your area to make sure you're allowed to do this kind of work.

THEN volunteer at a shelter or your local zoo.

You could ask your neighbors to see if they have any dogs to walk.Or even your family or your friends. You just need their phone numbers and address to keep in touch with them.
