Its about organisation.Wok food is easy.
I get all the ingredients out. I know how long it takes to cook each thing. I start with what takes longest. I clean up as I go. I can have a meal ready in 20 minutes no problem.. Put water on to boil for noodles or rice.Chop meat into cubes. Chop onion and garlic and fry in wok with a little oil. While onions cook slowly, chop other veges in small pieces to cook quicker. Stir in with onion. While veges cook, fry meat in hot pan with flavourings ie garlic, oyster sauce etc.Add the meat to the veges. While this is cooking the water will have boiled so you can cook your rice or noodles. When the rice or noodles are cooked, the vege and meat should also be cooked.

Also, cook quiche: use pre frozen pastry sheets. Preheat oven and spray quiche trays with oil. Lay pastry sheet on tray. mold pastry to shape of quiche tray. Chop bacon or ham and sprinkle on pastry. Beat 3 or 4 eggs with a dash of milk and herbs and pour onto pastry. Grate cheese and sprinkle on top. Bake in medium oven. Cook until egg is set in middle of quiche. Should be golden brown all over and not wobbly in centre.

The best cook book is Delia Smith's How to Cook. Though she is English, there are plenty of recipes from all over the world, from how to boil an egg to how to make a souffle. Every kitchen should have it.

One snack my kids and now Grandkids like that is pretty easy and quick and good.............Sausage Balls:

2 cups Bisquick or any biscuit mix

1 small roll ground sausage (jimmy dean, or whatever you prefer)

2 cups shredded cheese

Mix all of this togeather (this is the hardest part)

Sometimes I add about 1/2 cup of water, depends on how much patience and time you have to mix this up...it's really thick.

Roll into balls, place on greased cookie sheet and bake at 375 degrees for about 15-20 min.

These are great!!! Good hot or cold.

plenty of snacks that don't require any cooking at all....

Slice up an apple and dip in peanut butter

Carrot sticks dipped in store bought hummus

1/4 cup ricotta cheese mixed with a packet of splenda and teaspoon of vanilla extract

You're good with eggs so you could make deviled eggs (tons of easy recipes can be found on allrecipes.com or foodnetwork.com etc etc.

good luck!
