No. And the devil ain't red with pointy horns, a mouth full of fangs, slithery yellow eyes, pointy tail and pitchfork in hand. And he claims to be a roaring lion (1 Peter 5:8 NIV), but he's just an annoying chihuahua with a weak bark! He's already been defeated by the blood of Jesus!
He's an opportunist waiting to pounce on the weak-spirited and once he takes hold of a weak soul, he pours out his deceptions and lies taking over the mind. He makes you feel free and comfortable when in reality you are in bondage, a slave to him, yourself, and the world. Puffed up in self-righteousness, he provokes thoughts of envy, hatred, and presumption about your brethren, whom he convinces one that they are the true enemies, the ones "unsaved". The only way to blow the whistle on the seductive ways of the devil is to call him out in the Name of Jesus! Adorn yourself with the armor of God (Eph 6:10-11 NIV) and continue to feed and strengthen the spirit within with humble surrender and repentance to Jesus Christ. No religion or slick academic bible studying is gonna save you from the lies of the devil, nor will it make you righteous; only acceptance of Jesus will righteousness be imputed onto your soul. The devil hates this truth and he'll do anything to distort it, through idol worship of religious rituals, yourself, and other things of this world. Call out the counterfeit! Surrender to Jesus.
May God Bless you abundantly!

Actually Satan’s biggest accomplishment is all the ignorance, hatred, sexual tensions, and the inability to accept other people that is practiced by most religions. Satan has taken what should be a good moral code and a guide to live your life and turned it into a method to destroy society. Wars can be solved by conflict or diplomacy, but religious conflicts can only be solved by the absolute dissolving of that religion (which rarely happens). The Roman Empire had many gods; a lot of them were based on the Greek gods. They persecuted the Christians not because they hated them, but because the Christians hated anyone who was not a Christian. Thus becoming the first intolerant religion. There was to be no peace between the Roman Empire and the Christians until Rome gave up. Before Rome fell the bible was written, in an attempt to calm down the Christians, in a convention called by a pagan Roman ruler. Roman tolerance for the Christians only happened in the later days of the Empire when it was in its final stages of decline and death. Before Christianity could get a firm foothold Rome had to be destroyed. The Moslem religion, according to the Koran, is a tolerant religion, but its practice is far from tolerant today. That’s because many of their schools that only teach the Koran and hate; they actually make the students memorize the Koran before they can read it. In my opinion that is the height of stupidity. Not the religion, the misuse of it. Look at all the killing in Iraq, a virtual civil war, between the Sunnis, and the Shiites. Their reason for the struggle is based only on legends, with no recorded history of the events. They argue over the succession to leader of the Moslem people after the death of Muhammad. Shiites claim that the new Caliph was not elected, as he should have been, and he persecuted the Sunnis starting the civil war. The Sunnis say that the Caliph swore his loyalty to Muhammad, and that the civil war didn’t start until later. They can’t even agree on when the civil war supposedly started. Both "Saddam Hussein and The Shaw of Iran were brutal dictators. They had to be in order to hold a lid on the religious civil war. When Christianity was brought to the New World it had started fragmenting leading to the many versions we have today. Until the Renaissance there was only one form of Christianity, the Roman Catholic Church. During the Renaissance man started to question everything, even their own religion. Since there were so many forms of Christianity in North America the new government had no choice but to be tolerant of all religions but, not so with the early colonists. The Spanish were famous for giving the natives they found the choice to convert to Catholicism or die, not much of a choice really. Spain fought with England over their differing religions, all of which were Christian. The Church of England was founded by Henry VIII, solely because the Catholic Church wouldn’t grant him a divorce. Then look at the war in Ireland: the Protestants vs. the Catholics, a war well known for its violence. Protestants actually lead parades in Catholic neighborhoods to flaunt their power. The followed the traditional parade routes even though they knew it would only incite hatred and violence. Then look at the various factions of Christianity: The Baptists don’t believe that the apostles (or other people) were given the gift of tongues. The Lutherans got their start when the German Monk Martin Luther posted a list of 100 grievances he had with his religion. He didn’t want to found a new religion. He just objected to the evil practices of the church, practices like Indulgences, where the Church sold rich people a document that would allow them to commit a sin. They needed the money to build their grand churches, so they could compete with the castles of the kings and queens. In the meantime the majority of the population, the serfs, were tied to the land and all but slaves in name. Now look at the War against Japan. The Japanese needed more resources. When they were beaten by the US both countries soon became firm and steady allies. This wouldn’t have happened if a religious conflict got in the way. Hitler used the persecution of the Jews to unite his people. He took a bankrupt, disarmed, and defeated country and made a serious bid for world conquest. Now Germany and the NATO countries, former enemies, are allies and friends. This wouldn’t have happened if a religious conflict got in the way, and Hitler’s most despicable crimes were religious based. How often do you hear that the Gypsies were also caught up in the Holocaust? The Cold War sparked the Korean War, the Vietnam War, the space race, and years of spying and conflict. North Korea is still a problem country, but Russia can now be considered an ally. In fact Russia has asked to join NATO, an organization designed solely to stop the Soviet Union. The US “won” the war by promoting a better way to rule their people and a better economy and economic method. If there were religious issues involved then NATO would still be fighting the Cold War and Germany would never have been united. The Chinese are still communist, but America has a working relationship with them and a highly successful economic relationship. Even though the democratic and communist governments are directly opposed to each other they can still get along. Of course if their differences were religious based then they would never have been able to get along. The GREATEST threat to the world today is that posed by Organized Religions. Other problems can be worked out and solved, but religious problems can only be solved when one of the religions is destroyed.

nope! I think his biggest accomplishment is keeping us going 24 hours a day seven days a week. We are all so busy with work, school, volunteer activities. We are all on the run. Radio, tv, internet, video games.
Most of us don't have any time for any silent, peaceful prayer time alone with God. And even when we do, we feel guilty because we should be doing something else.
I think that is his biggest accomplishment. Keeping us super busy!

No...his biggest accomplishment is having mankind believe that they don't need God, that everything is is done by man's own hand, and that only the uneducated and unsophisticated can truly believe in some magical, unseen orchestrator of all things, that despite a supossed professed love for us, allows the innocent to endure the unimaginable, while it seems that the wicked prosper.

No, his biggest accomplishment is making people not believe in the true way of Salvation. The Catholic Church. He scatters little grains of truth in enough places to make it look enticing but it does not accomplish what needs to be done. Sugar pills while the real medicine is said to be harmful. Very crafty.

In ancient Jewish tradition Satan is simply an angel doing the work that God assigned to Satan to do.
The word Satan means challenger. With the idea of Satan challenging us, or tempting if you will. This description sees Satan as the angel who is the embodiment of man's challenges. This idea of Satan works closely with God as an integral part of Gods plan for us. His job is to make choosing good over evil enough of a challenge so that it becomes clear to us that there can be only one meaningful or logical choice.
Contrast this to Christianity, which sees Satan as God's opponent. In Jewish thought, the idea that there exists anything capable of setting itself up as God's opponent would be considered polytheistic or setting up the devil to be an equally powerful polarity to god or a demigod.
Oddly, proof for The Christian satan/devil mythology is supposedly found in the ancient Jewish texts that were borrowed to create the bible. One can’t help but wonder how Christians came up with such a fantastically different interpretation of Gods assistant Satan in their theology.
Other hints about Satan’s role in human relations can be seen if you look at the name Lucifer. It’s meaning in the original tongue translates as Light bearer or light bringer. Essentially the bringer of enlightenment. The temptations of the Satan idea bring all of us eventually into Gods light. Hardly the Evil entity of Christian mythology.

Better still, others are blamed.
A tornado touches down in a trailer park,
Is it called "an act of Satan" (as satan would do something like that)?
No, "An Act of God".
That's marketing!

His biggest accomplishment is diverting our attention on morons at the Church of Satan.Thinking they are scary and evil when they are more like "Trekkies or Star Wars Geeks".Meanwhile he has moved into our main line denominations and turned them into the teachers of False Doctrines.Plus pumping up non Christian cults like Mormonisim and Jehovah's Witnesses.
Some churches that have bought into false teaching in my opinion are : 7th Day Adventist,United Methodist,Roman Catholic ,most of the Lutheran and Episcopalians, places like the Boston Church of Christ and others. But ,hey, that's just me.

I do not believe in your wrong way of thinking. The biggest accomplishment of Satan is believing him that he is powerful and always follow his temptations for you to commit sin against God.
