I don't really know what to do anymore. I am a study-oriented kind of person (or at least everyone taking O levels in Singapore will be) and I have a boy-friend who is on the other half of the world and because of that, our time difference is really great. But I feel that juggling this relationship and my studies is really tough. Even though my bf said that he will wait and be patient, but I feel guilt-ridden. I really love him but I also should also concentrate on my studies because I really don't want to let all my friends and relatives and family down (and if my parents know about my bf, they will kill me) What should I do? I really don't know what to do anymore... I just don't want to lose my bf or score bacly for my exams. Are there any solutions to solve this to attain a win-win solution? Please help me, I am really confused...

There is only one way for this to be a win-win situation, and that is for your boyfriend to cut you some slack and let you do your work. If he really loves you, he will want you to succeed. If you really love one another and are meant to be together, it will work out. If not, then at least you will not have sunk your entire life by getting bad grades. If you want to play it safe, though, GO WITH YOUR STUDIES. A new boyfriend will always be easier to find than good grades and a decent job. Think carefully about your future. Will your boyfriend and you ever REALLY be together? When? How? Under what circumstances? If you can't answer these questions, then you are likely wasting your time with this guy. I'm sorry, but that is the truth. There is a reason your folks would be mad about the boyfriend. They have your best interests at heart. Do you have your own best interests in mind right now? Tread carefully.

Studies should come first, second, third, and fourth. The boyfriend should come fifth. He's halfway around the world. What future is there really for the two of you?

BFs are a dime-a-dozen! *laughter* If he is worth it, he will understand. You have your priorities. First-things-first.
