What is this greatest lie ever told? What is this great deception that is being preached? What is this lie that has deceived millions into believing that they are saved? The lie is the one that says that all you have to do is: "accept Jesus as your personal savior and you are saved."

Most "Christians" today want the Savior part, but do not want a Lord. They want the benefit, but not what they consider to be a price that comes with it. They want to be saved but still do as they please. They want to be assured they are going to heaven and still enjoy the pleasures of this world. They've been duped by the greatest lie ever told!

Exactly. Real Christianity is more than just saying a phrase and then going to a rock concert/movie/arena/worship service and reading the Bible.

The opportunity for Salvation is guaranteed - your own personal Salvation is not.

Romans 10:9-13
because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved. 11 For the Scripture says, “Everyone who believes in him will not be put to shame.” 12 For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, bestowing his riches on all who call on him. 13 For “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”

John 1:12
John 3:16-17
John 14:6
Acts 13:38-39
Romans 1:16
Romans 3:23
Romans 6:23
Ephesians 1:13-14
Ephesians 2:8-9

Hope those help! The decision to accept Christ as savior (the one who brings salvation, or redemption) has to be done on a personal level. An individual must make this decision through the process the above verses describe. Now, the result of that decision should reflect a transformed life that no longer conforms to the pattern of the world (Romans 12:2)

Nowhere in those exact terms but it does say, John 14 : 6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. So if you do not accept Jesus, you will not be in Heaven, which is where the Father is.

John 2:12 Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God. Children born not of natural descent, not of human decision of a husband's will, but born of God (born again.)
Rev 3:20 Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me.
