Exactly, how can one believe a doctrine that says we are born bad and must be saved...all new life is beautiful and a miracle of nature and then along comes some man, Augustine I believe, who says that this miracle is evil and must be saved...no wonder people like us are running in a direction of a new belief...a child is born in the image of God and is a god to grow and become a nurturer of the earth....the peoples of the religions that believe all is bad until saved are the"inherently wicked" but one has to remember that most of the New Testament text is based on the words of a betrayor who turned his back on his master dying on the cross...should we believe a man covering his proverbial ***...and the born again philosophy came much later by another man's interpretation who demonized all other beliefs and left the world at the mercy of a very paganistic religion....maybe I may not be totally factual but it is what is driving me toward Pantheism and that the belief we are all one and are made in THE God's image and as gods we are all one and the caretakers of the environment...something our good Christian CEO forget.

There is absolutely no scripture that says Man is not "good enough" for God. Neither does scripture say that man is "inherently wicked." Man is born into a sinful society, which means that he is subject to the prince of the power of the air (satan). We breathe in satan's nature, which means it is natural for us to sin, until we come to the reality of Christ. Why would God send Jesus as a sacrifice for our sins, if he thought we weren't good enough to spend eternity with Him? Makes no sense.

If anything gets me down, it is that people like you misinterpret the Bible, thinking yourselves wise; when it's just as easy for you to study the Bible and gain wisdom.

It upset God enough to take action about it. God loves us and desires a personal relationship with each person. He daily walked with Adam and Eve in Eden before the fall. It grieved God that he had to punish these people and leave them because of their sin, but He is holy. However, He sent Jesus to be sacrificed for the sins of all people. Now Jesus lives, never to die again. Those who admit their sin, believe on Jesus and confess and turn away from their sins are seen by God as justified.

Not really, because without being down in the mud how woulc we ever know how amazing Jesus' redemption is :)

It's up to parents to take there inherently wicked offspring and teach them through lessons and experiences about being Godly and so on. If we never knew sin, how could we even have daily faith in Jesus as we fight even our most internal conflicts. It's a struggle, yes, but it's worth it.

God had a plan, he gave us free will, but remember, he is all knowning and outside the spectrum of time, and he knew what would happen. and Jesus died to attoan for all of that inherently wicked sin. :)

Le'ts just thank God that we are redeemed and work on helping others out of the pits of sin just like someone did for us when they showed us the way to Jesus, and decipled us in our early Christian walk.

i'm no longer a Muslim, so i could be incorrect, yet i think of they say we are all handicapped by potential of the devil and this international's problems, yet that we can try no longer difficulty-free to alter into extra desirable by potential of following the Qur'an, and if we do sufficient solid deeds, that could desire to outweigh our undesirable ones. there's a Hadith that speaks of a mass murderer on his thank you to between the holy cities to earnings approximately God's strategies; he died closer to that city than the single the place he'd achieved his final homicide, so he replaced into forgiven and delivered to paradise. properly, if it is the way sin is considered, it extremely is a million miles removed from the Christian theory! The passage you quote is exciting because of the fact in common terms some chapters in the past Jesus healed a crippled guy at Bethesda pool after which warned the guy approximately sin, in case some thing worse got here about him. positioned the two bills mutually and that they do no longer contradict - they teach that regularly suffering isn't as a results of inherited sin, yet from time to time our sins will deliver suffering upon us (and destiny generations). the easy actuality is that no longer a soul (different than for Jesus) ever lived a sinless existence. no count how no longer difficulty-free we attempt, all of us sin and all of us deserve God's wrath. The Injil is that Jesus got here to pay the fee of our sin, he got here because of the fact the Lamb of God that takes away the sin of the international, so as that each physique who have faith completely in what he accomplished on the bypass would be completely forgiven. No quantity of solid deeds can ever cancel out our sin. that's what Muslims could desire to withstand.

Popular misconception. Everyone is born, not inherently wicked, but with the capacity to commit acts displeasing to God. Not good enough for God? He sent His Son to save all, I'd say we are good enough for God, just got to have a little faith.

I am not a God fearing woman but I do have 'a' faith. My religion tought me to accept without questioning, but it's something I cannot do. I choose to believe that everyone is born good ~ as for "good enough for God", how relative is that? It's what we make of our life that matters, both to us and Him.
Have a great weekend.

the whole people being born wicked thing is one of the few things they say that makes sense. Morals have to be taught, they don't have to involve belief in a supernatural being though.
