Scars are difficult to remove and no method removes them completely. Common methods to remove scars include dermabrasion, chemical peels, laser skin resurfacing, and collagen injections. With EB, dermabrasion and chemical peels would probably be a health risk and these methods might create more scars than they remove. Collagen injections are expensive and the effects are only temporary. So that leaves laser as a possibility, but you would have to check with a dermatologist to see if laser is OK with EB. There may be some other cosmetic approaches as well, such as lotions--like Kristy mentioned. Your best bet would be to call your dermatologists office.

I would have thought that with having a fairly uncommon disease that you would have been visiting your doc fairly regularly so i reckon he's the best person to ask.
