You can try "Mane N' Tail". It is worth it...the big bottle normally runs about $2.50 and the small runs about $1.75. It just depends on what store you get it from. I normally buy the big bottle at a beauty supply store and the small bottles are selled at Walgreens, K-Mart, Walmart and etc. Once you use the shampoo and conditioner....you will not want to use any other product.

The Sunsilk in the green bottle is great. Also the Aussie Moist shampoo is awesome...I have recently stopped washing my hair everyday and that has helped a lot. There is a book called Curly Girl with all sorts of "recipes" for nice hair. You don't have to have curly hair to need a softer mane.

I have a few suggestions for you...for me I found that Redken, Pantene, and Garnier Fructis all helped. You can find all of those in a normal grocery store, (Well, I'm not sure about Redken, you may have to go to your hair dresser.)

And remember, you cant really find a fairly good shampoo/conditioner without paying a reasonable price! But I do think that those are reasonably priced. DEFENETLY MAKE SURE YOU USE CONDITIONER!! :P

I find that dove leaves my hair too greasy. i suppose it depends how dry your hair is, but i highly reccomend Garnier Fructise for Dry or Damaged Hair. I have naturally oily hair and sometimes it's too much for my hair so I actually use the shampoo for a conditioner. it's that good! best of luck!!

Mane and tail. It's a horse shampoo but it really works. It makes your hair soft and thick! You can get it just about anywhere now.
