We just found an excellent groomer who charged $40 per dog (2 dogs). They brushed teeth and other extras. No cages, they got to run free and play with other puppies. We loved them and they did an excellent job! The groomer does not own the shop, but is employed in a pet boutique.

Where I work, we have a dog groomer and she charges about $30 to bathe and brush out my 65 pound dog (she does anal glands and nail trims with that price). The people I know that use her, as well as myself, give her about $5 per dog for a tip. If she puts in some serious effort (such as brushing out a seriously matted dog, clean shave downs or a nice breed cut) some people will give a $10 tip.

Little Lexi's groomer does it all. She bathes her, brush and blow dry, trims nails and hair, brushes her teeth, polishes her nails, gives her love and kisses. She also does not use cages. She does the best job ever and only charges me $10. I then tip 50%.

5.00 or more, is a good tip...and it also depends on the area you live in. I'm in south Ga.
(however, what you can afford is up to you.)

I think as long as you show that you appreciate it and make sure the groomer knows you are happy with her work then she will appreciate you and your business.
Tips are always great, but letting her know in words and actions that you appreciate her
(like being on time for your appointment, and pre-sceduling for your next appt.,calling to cancel if needed instead of not showing up...ect) is worth its weight in gold...

I have a minature poodle who gets groomed every other month. The groomer charges me $33. She cuts the hair, baths, brushes, cleans ears and cuts his toe nails. I give her a $3 tip. I don't feel that is enough, however, that is about all I can afford. Hope this answer has helped.

I've never thought of doing this. It's a great idea though. Thanks for the question.
