Yep, it works. But your hair will get real dried out. Try to avoid putting it on your ends. It only takes a little bit, when the juice is dry then add a little more.
A noticable diff will prob take 2-3 hrs in the sun.

Yes, lemon juice does lighten hair, and it is permenant. It is damaging to the hair because lemon juice has such a high concentration of acidity, but it isn't too damaging. After applying the lemon juice to your hair, let your hair dry thoroughly. Then put olive on your hair to put back the moisture. Also, you don't have stay in the sun in order to get the same results. It is optional.

It really depends on your hair type. Sometimes lemon can make you look bleached blonde if you leave it in too long. I would suggest cranberry juice if you have brunette hair. This will make it a little lighter and add a touch of sun. I would say don't leave it in for more than 3 hours.

Wet hair, put lemon juice in and sit in sun till dry.
It is damaging to your hair.
Peroxide does the same thing and will damage your hair also.

You can also use a product called sun-in. With sun-in the heat from the blow dryer will lighten your locks too but it'll take longer.

Yes-it works great for putting streaks in your hair it only takes a few hours to work well, I wouldn't recommend covering your entire head in it though because it looks too unnatural that way.
