1. Yes

2. Not only CAN they, but they DO. (Unless they are enlightened and chose to join the Universal Consciousness. Enlightened inviduals who chose to return to Earth to continue their work helping people are commonly referred to as bodhisattvas.)

3. No, just people.

4. I think that when we reincarnate we block them from our memory as a defense mechanisim 1) so we can live this life clear headed and 2) so we don't fall back into our old habits. I think that it is certainly possible to REmember them if we work at it. I have vague memory of a few past lives. Some of them interesting, and some of them not so much. One or two of them were from past life regressions I did, and the other just came to me. It was like something someone said triggered a waterfall of images and information. It's amazing how certain people and places can trigger something like that.

Also, a really good book to read about the afterlife and reincarnation is 'Journey of Souls' by Michael Newton, PhD. Here is an amazon link:

I certainly believe it possible. Two books to look at:

Many Lives, Many Masters was written by a psychiatrist who was skeptical at the start. He encountered a patient who apparently had a number of past lives, and working with these, the patient recovered. While being a bit circumspect, I looked at this book and found *possible* holes, it is still an interesting tale of a skeptic and professional who found their foundation somewhat shaken when encountering such a person.

Twenty Cases Suggestive of Reincarnation, published in the 1960's by the American Association for Psychical Research examines a number of cases, with varying degrees of verification. It is an overview of the sorts of evidence available for this phenomenon.

Whether or not reincarnation is real, it seems apparent that some people have access to memories of other people who lived at some time in history. If this is simply access to some storehouse of information, or if it is the actual return of a soul to a new body on Earth, or elsewhere, is probably not likely to be solved definitively here and now. In any case, the evidence does seem to indicate that a person today can have memories of a person who lived some time ago.

it seems pretty obvious to me that obvious that reincarntion is true. It explains why some people are very sophisticated and caring while others are seemingly dumb and animal-like. As to reincarnating as something other than humans, I personally don't think so althought the Bhagavad Gita says it's possible. It appears that human life is the only one where you can evaluate your own mind, the other forms of life seem locked into instinct. And it seems that, even tho some people are monsterous, that it's the only incarnation where we can evolve past being bound to the material plane. I'd say the karma for being cruel in this life would be a difficult life in the next one, rather than incarnating as a cockroach.

No. It is mathematically impossible:

OK What was the population of the earth in 1500? All the souls came back but there were not 6 billion souls to start.

and morally reprehensible

As no one can remember their past life how are they supposed to learn from it?? Why do Indians and Africans have such bad Karma?

Those who claim to relate past lives are in my opinion simply hypnotized and therefore like a radio tuned off station - the demons then come in and tell the truth (well they were there at the time of the previous person's life) and when it is seen to be true people conclude that "reincarnation must be true"!

Remember the warning in Macbeth: Act 1 Scene 3
BANQUO [Aside.]
But 'tis strange;
And oftentimes, to win us to our harm,
The instruments of darkness tell us truths,
Win us with honest trifles, to betray's
In deepest consequence.—

and the Bible specifically states it does not occur.

When you go to heaven with god, you are theoretically reincarnated if that is true! You die from this world and you are are reincarnated with god.

Reincarnation is somewhat true but it is not simple as that. What takes place is a rebirth, if you are reincarnated then you should have same physical and mental features once you are reincarnated. And obviously, you should be able to recall your past life.

I answered this before. I think uncontrolled reincarnations exist. Science calls that conservation of mass and energy. Spirit is energy and this energy can reattach to living object/objects. When this energy is strong enough, maybe pass memories can be retained.

Even molecules that appear inanimate are actually active and has energy.

1. Religions mainly Hinduism and Buddhism believe in reincarnation.
2. Yogis remember their past life. Often small children do. ( shown in a few Indian TV CHANNELS)
3. Your next life depends on the Karma of this life and of past lifes.

Yes
Yes
No, just people
There are theories on that. The problem is too many people running around claiming to be Cleopatra and Queen Elizabeth. But a friend of mine says that if you ask a child when they are really young they can tell you about their past life. Never tried so I don't know. I have a very basic idea of my past live (Nothing excited I assure you.) I am more concerned with this one. I have lessons to learn in this life. It puts me one step closer to the Gods.

Yes, Yes and double Yes!

I think most people who are reincarnated are brought back for a reason (as in my case)

People that truly feel in their heart that they have lived before, know early on.

i do believe that " some " may wish to reincarnate
I dont believe that all do
I dont believe that everyone remembers though
and I dont believe we would reincarnate as anything but human again

I have seen many detailed accounts of past lives , that I began to accept that it did happen
this actually went against my own beliefs , as I believed we all went spirit to live on in spirit reams
but just too many accounts to ignore for me
