Fifty years ago, bake sales were successful ways for churches to raise funds.
Now hardly anyone goes nuts at a bake sale.
Twenty years ago, Bingo night was a way for church groups to raise funds, until the gambling people in charge started shutting them down.
Now most church groups in my town hold rummage sales and car washes to raise funds.
What sold thirty years ago is not selling today. There used to be lots of Tupperware parties all over the country. Now you can't get more than two guests to commit to a Tupperware party anywhere.
Change is neccessary, because things change all the time. Companies need to keep on top of changes in the marketplace and keep what is working and change what is not working. Its just the way it is.
