You will need a medical waiver and with that you will need to provide lots of supporting medical documents. Then it will be up to them to decide yes or no. Medical waivers like your go to the top of medical community for whichever branch you want to go into and it will take some time to get a yes or no answer back. How many years you have been in remission will also be important.

Really it would depend the recruiter you got and the branch of service you wre trying to get into.
Also, if your recruiter would go the distance and if your waiver got approved.
My husband was a recruiter for 3 years and they were able to get someone in who had had cancer.

I can't answer that directly, but I can say that I was not allowed to join because of hearing loss in one of my ears that does not hinder my total hearing in any way. I would probably say that they wouldn't take the person, simply because they do not want to pay for your medical coverage if it comes back. They would be obligated to cover your charges otherwise.

I want to say you must be cancer free for like seven years before they will even consider a waiver.

and a waiver is not guarenteed.

I am not sure. But you could ask the military. They will be happy to help you out.

i do not belive so.....i was turned down becasue of a past knee surgery..they were worried it might act up again and they would not let me pass the physicial

That would be a no! but if you have a criminal pass I am sure they would over look that.
