Be creative, but keep it simple. Ask yourself what is a special activity to both of you; make sure you do something you both will never forget. Ask yourself what kind of a proposal would she like, public or private, and make sure that you have the ring before you ask, asking but not having the proper hardware to backup the proposal is kind of half hearted and she will wonder if you are serious.
Also it does not have to be expensive. My fiancée and I are very outdoors kind of people, so last November, I took her to a cottage on the North Shores of Lake Superior; I just made it out to be like a special weekend away as we had done before at other places. Oh and here is another hint, make the place you ask her new and unique, then she will always associate that place as where she got engaged at. Later in the evening, in the freezing cold, 15 degrees mind you; I talked her into a starlight walk. So bundled head to toe we went out on the trail and when we came to a clearing under a bright sky full of stars we stopped for a rest and I popped the question. Now she just can't get enough of telling people about that special time and place. Nothing fancy not even expensive, but memorable. Keep It Simple, but Special.

In your own words, in your own style.
There's no wrong way to propose, so long as you don't actively insult her.
And this comes from a woman who was proposed to in an all-night diner over soup and salad! No roses, no moonlight, no down on one knee...in fact it took a while to figure out what he was trying to say not because he was stammering or rambling but because he used so few words and such non-traditional ones. Even now, after nearly fourteen years of marriage, I get a warm glow thinking about a proposal most people would consider hideously anti-romantic.
Just find your time and go for it. If she loves you, it will be the most romantic thing in the world no matter how you do it.

Just do it! If she loves you, the way you propose or what you say while proposing will not matter. You have to somehow say these required things: "I love you" and "Will you marry me?"
My boyfriend and I have been together for 4 years and we're ready to get married. I would love any kind of proposal, whether it's in a hot air balloon or sitting on the couch! Just remember: If she loves you, it won't matter how you do it. Some girls want elaborate proposals to commemorate the momentous occasion, but when it comes down to it, the bare bones of a successful proposal are your love for her (and vice versa), asking her to marry you, and her saying yes!! Good luck!!

You should invite her to your place! Then make an carpet of roses from the door to your room in your room you should have roses everywhere and candles ;) and you should have something romantic to eat something like pasta then when you eat ask her to be your wife i think she will say yes and you will have a fantastic night !

Try to be creative in your presentation and as true and honest as you can be in your speech. My husband simply place the ring on my finger and asked, "Would ya?!"; it was perfect! Then again, we were in an exclusive resort restaurant in Costa Rica, which helped!
