What creates the similarity of a voice?

My daughter and I have similar voices.

Someone wrote the wave forms are the same, but what physical assumptions are there for it???

I would guess that the length and shape of your vocal cords are very similar, and that would lead to the nearly identical sound waves.

The wave forms of both sounds are the same.It is hereditary.
