That just goes to show that none of the widely believed religions have a semblance of verifiability in them. Or, that religions were really crafted by humans for their own satisafaction, like myths and folklore.
The main reason why the whole world did not end up believing the same religion is due to geographical isolation and not separate cases of revelation.
It really does seem to me pointless to believe that three major world religions, Islam, Christianity and Judaism, all of which grew out of a small area of a few hundred square kilometres in Middle East and N. Africa, now has followers claiming that these are the only true religions, whereas all three were once weak and geographically confined. It is really due to this "truie religion, divinely revealed" nature of the beliefs of the believers that there is so much strife in the world today.

Religions are of men, not God; and since satan is in the midst of religion, he seeks to confuse the mind. The Bible is not confusing. Men only make it appear that way, to confuse the wicked. There is but one God and one Church of God. All others are imposters, including the Catholic Church.

Polytheists will disagree with you, as will atheists (including religious atheists), when you say there is "only one god". Even monotheists will disagree with one god there is.
Without beating about the bush, you're really asking "why do so many people not believe the same thing as me?"

People don't like to believe only in one God
There are a lot of persons who believe in nothing and nobody....for example my boyfriend said that God doesn't exist...(I believe in God)
I can't explain to myself why indians or chinese people belive not in God ,but in their own idols!!

And which deity is it then?
How do you know there's only one? Let me guess, your Bible? Well, the Bagavhad Gita says there are many. Why should I trust the Bible over the BG? The BG also contains true historic references and prophecies that if twisted... I'm sorry, 'interpreted' ... properly have come true.
I think you have a lot of work yet to do towards proving there is only one deity or even one deity.

Who told you there was only one god? How sure are you of that? Why don't you ask him to show you there is only one by destroying all the heathens who do not worship him? I know you religious people are fond of murder so go ahead.

Because people want to deviate from the truth, and create their own ideal religion. Each one claiming to be the one and only way. In our time of desperation, we only turn to one God.

The idea that there is only one God is only your opinion. Other people practicing other religions believe otherwise.

They don't believe Jesus - that the Father is in Him.
"For in him dwelleth all the fullness of the Godhead bodily." -- Colossians 2:9
"Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father?" -- John 14:9
"Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you Before Abraham was, I AM." -- John 8:58
"God is one." (Galatians 3:20)
