Take a walk 4 times a week. If you are in a hilly area, all the better.

Hey, The best thing is to get yourself into a regular exercise routine. Here are a bunch of things that have worked for me in the past ... excluding the gym .... - make a point of walking more to places. Build it into your routine. Walking for 30 mins to an hour at a good pace, 4 times a week will definitely give you results. I once got in super great shape doing a door to door charity sales in my 20's. - buy some weights and use them at home. - go out dancing more... just don't drink! (lotsa calories) - do outdoors stuff -- hike, etc. - join something ... dance class, martial arts, etc. - hang out with people who are active. spend less time w/ your couch potatoe friends. Even walking through the mall for a day is better than sitting at home watching movies.

Purchase a dvd work-out from Barnes & nobles or Bestbuy, choose something that you are interested in, I myself have many collections like taebo, belly-dancing, pilates and yoga. I like variety, so I choose something differently everyday so that I don't get bored. And I get the same results as the people that go to the gym. Set a specific time to work-out and at least 3 times a week.

You don't NEED a gym or alot of money to get yourself into shape* First of all you definately need SELF DISCIPLINE*....you have to kick your own butt to have results..determination..Start by eating healthy, drinking lots of water....WALK walk walk* holding your stomach in to tighten your core muscles walking 45-60min/day, crunches, any cardio exercise(dancing, biking, running, jump rope, swimming) also purchase light weights perhaps at a garage sale, or flea market ppl wanting to get rid of weights...this will tone your body/arms/chest * do lunges or squats for your legs....and Stick with it * You can do this :) Best Wishes*

Off the top of my head, I'd say:

* Start walking more!
* Cut down foods high in carbs and start focusing more on protein.
* Cut down on sodas and juices and start drinking more water.
* Pick up some used dumbbells from a local sporting shop or Play It Again Sports.

Do cicrcuit training. It's so thorough and meant to be done without equipment.
