why don't they do something about it instead of trying to sound cool, like they don't watch tv or they never eat a friggin hamburger? give me a break people! this isn't the third grade like haha my lunchbox looks better than yours. If you have a problem with people watching tv, why don't YOU get off your butt and do something about that?! When you say "put down the big mac" why don't you do something about that? or are you too busy actually eating a big mac yourself? you hipocrate! This should hopefully put an end to people trying to insult people by saying "get off the couch". What are you jealous because you live in a van down by the river? anybody?

I think people should "pull the plug" on the television sets and get to know people. Talk to your wife, children, or call your parents or grandparents on the telephone. Join a health club, take a course, get a college degree, go to a movie, read a book, become involved in local "grass roots" politics, or go to church and sing in the choir.

It does not bother me that people are eating at fast food restaurants. I would prefer it if they had decent, well-balanced meals at home with their family at a dinner table.

"When people say put down the remote, get off your butt, and stop eating mcdonalds as an insult...?
why don't they do something about it instead of trying to sound cool"

Umm...I think the idea here is for YOU to do something about it.

"If you have a problem with people watching tv, why don't YOU get off your butt and do something about that?! "

No, why don't YOU get of your behind and do something about it? What are they supposed to do, force you to get into action at gunpoint?

"What are you jealous because you live in a van down by the river? anybody?"

I see you've been watching too much Chris Farley on SNL.

"Maybe it's because I live in a VAN down by the RIVER!" HA!
Nothing better than Chris Farley

As for the rant... I don't really get it. But it was still worth reading due to the humor factor.

because this person wants to see you make better use of your time... and be more conscious of your health, and go and make something of yourself.

stop being immature. ask the person who insulted you, not us. if they too, are watching tv all the time and eating mcdonalds, and criticising you whilst doing it, then secretly they're disappointed in themselves.

but until next time, make more sense okay?
