I've seen a lot of documentaries/etc. about HUGE people who are putting away over 15000 calories a day. Some of them work out to $200 a DAY in food bills. My question is, how can you afford to eat that much? Especially when they're usually home-bound and can't work?

Friends, Family, Welfare, Food Stamps, anyway possible. It is like a drug and they need to feed the addiction.

Actually, it's cheaper (and easier) to eat a high-fat, high-calorie diet than a well-balanced meal, these days. I found out the hard way. I don't weigh over 400 (240 is bad enough), but I recently tried to change my diet to eat more fresh fruits and vegetables, and that really pinches the pocketbook. For example, for $2.99 you can get either a pound of cherries (which isn't much), or a super-sized bag of potato chips. Which one packs the pounds on faster? And which one will stay fresh longer if you don't open it up and eat the whole thing right away?

I dunno.. one Pizza Hut pizza is going to be almost half that many calories and that's only 20 bucks or so... so they eat one whole chicken, one pizza, a bunch of soda and there you have 15000 calories for like 40 bucks..
