Of course not. Look at Billy Graham's mother.

No. You don't even have to be willing to get famous by making a difference. The best philanthropists, for example, are anonymous. The only people who know what they do are their tax accountants and the IRS.

And you don't have to be rich to make a difference, either. My favorite example is the load of passengers on Flight 93 on September 11, 2001. Ordinary people who sacrificed their lives to stop terrorists who were apparently headed for the White House.

One good idea, put into the right hands, can make an impressive difference. Take the inventor of a useful product made from recycled materials, for example. Or a teacher who inspires the young and bright to be major contributors to social improvements.

And you don't have to make a big difference to make a difference, either. The small efforts add up. You are probably making a difference every day. Do you recycle? Buy biodegradable cleaning products? Turn off the lights when you leave a room? Then you ARE making a difference.

No not famous... JUST FAITH filled enough to TAKE a hit on the chin when YOU go out and try and make a difference. WHile trying to improve something, those that don't understand YOUR motives make life rough. Always choose to do the RIGHT thing and KNOW that YOU MADE A DIFFERENCE>
Famous people may be making a great difference in the world by contributing money, but a lot of them just do it for exposure. Even THAT is okay, 'cuz at least some good is being done.

One positive voice makes a difference, many positive voices joined together make a CHANGE~ dza

No, never!

You can make a difference in someones life or in many people's lives by giving to their cause. Pray for God to use your talents in a special way. Then be ready for a special opportunity to make a difference, but not necessarily in a leadership capacity. It may start out to be very elementary, but grow into a greater responsibility soon.

God doesn't call the qualified.
God qualifies the called.

As far as someone famous is concerned, they just get noticed by more people through their celebrity status. But you aren't trying to make a difference to get noticed. I think that you want to make a difference for the sake of others. Right?

Of course not....you can be the pooriest of the pooriest and make a difference to just one person. Each person reach a person can make a difference. Be kind to a stranger. Give small change to a charity. Take food to someone that is sick. Do a kind thing for a family that has a dying family member. Witness to someone about God. Give a homeless person a used coat. Help a elderly person that is having a difficult time just thinking about they will change a ceiling light bulb or get their yard mowed on a limited budget. The ways are limited only to your imagination.

I sure hope not!! I'm trying to make a difference in every life I touch - even if it's a small one! I've mentored many young children and teenagers - I pray I've had a positive influence on everyone I meet!

We can all make a difference through random acts of kindness; blessing others - especially people we don't know or people who some might not think deserves a blessing. You don't know what somebody might be going through - the random kindness they receive from you might be the one thing that keeps them from doing something extreme to hurt themselves or somebody else! God works in mysterious ways...and He's been known to use the least likely candidates for the job to actually get the job done!

Certainly seems like it, don't it? But you would be surprised on how very little celebrities contribute to society. Their also hidden conspiracy factors to celebrities who donate to charities. (How do you know if ALL that money they gave is going to the needy and not into some "fat cat's" pocket?) Besides either keeping us entertained if their actors, singers, dancers or if their persons who display other forms of talent they have (or nowadays, NO TALENT) theirs very little else that famous people give to make a difference in the world.

No.

Take the African American movement. Rosa Parks wasn't famous when she made a difference, she became famous afterwards. All the sit-ins that occurred at that time, you don't know many of the people's names, but they are known for standing up for their rights, and they did provide a big voice

you make a difference by every action you take, every thought you have. Just smiling at someone instead of
scowling or looking away makes a difference. I know
it does to me. Be kind in all of your actions. Be generous
with what you have. Show love to all. Try and forgive
others. If you follow that, you'll make the world a better
place.
