if you are dealing with the english speaking public you should be able to speak english....

This would depend on their commanders in the military, and your boss at home. Most of the American public can only speak English, so this should give you a hint of what to do when at work. Best of luck to you.

There are many languages spoken in America. The people in the rest of the world generally know several languages. There is nothing wrong with people speaking their first language when they are speaking to each other. We have many rules and regulations for the workplace. Determining the language people speak in private conversation shouldn't be one of them.

The US Military don't speak English. They speak in abbreviations.
