I think there was something about him as a youth in the temple too. But, you would think that as glorious as his birth was, the Pharisee papparazzis would've been surrounding him from day one.

For The person above: Jesus didn't even live to be 40 !!! He was crucified at 33 yoa !!!
I believe the "church" (all churches) do not want his "human" side to be known, they have left MANY books out of the Bible in order to do just that !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
He was probably married and had children who the church wants to keep protected and hushed up !!! I believe he also spent a lot of time in China or the far East somewhere, where he learned many of his "MIRACLES" aka "tricks" -- just like Cris Angel !!!!! If a man could do the things Angel does today and you put him back in time 2,000 years, what do you think people would think, esp. if he had a good deal of psychological wisdom and knew how tomanipulate such unsophisticated peoples??? They'd believe he was a GOD or Savior, wouldnt they !!!

God recorded what we needed for faith, without overwhelming us.

John 20:30, 31
Jesus performed many other signs in the presence of His disciples that are not written in this book. But these are written so that you may believe Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and by believing you may have life in His name.

John 21:25
And there are also many other things that Jesus did, which, if they were written one by one, I suppose not even the world itself could contain the books that would be written.

The books of the Bible were compiled by the Church, who omitted books that were controversial. One book about Jesus, as a child, told of him making clay birds on the sabbath. Joseph scolded him for doing work on that Holy Day and Jesus said to the clay birds, "fly away" and they became alive and flew away. They didn't want anything in the Bible that may tarnish the image of Jesus. Like working on the Sabbath, which was forbidden in those days. Other instances of Jesus's childhood were also omitted.

That was the way 1st century historians wrote. Today, biographers give each part of someone's life equal consideration. In the 1st century, it wasn't thought that someone's life was worth recording unless it taught people something. That's why all the focus is on his last 3 years of life and why most of the gospels is given over to the details of his death and resurrection. Clearly they think the main lessons and message lie there. Most Christians agree with them.

The Bible is Salvation History. It is about man's fall from grace and man's redemption.

The gospels present the important information about Jesus' role in redeeming mankind. It is not a full biography of Jesus' life or a full history of the world.

After Jesus' birth, it was recorded that his parents (Mary and Joseph) took him to the temple (at 12 years old). Jesus's childhood/young adult life was spent helping his earthly father. He was a carpenter. He started his ministry when he was 30. He was crucified when he was 33.

There actually are accounts of his life as a child. These non-canonical books are refered to as infancy gospels.

Some of the common ideas around him and his family come from these gospels (like Joseph being an old man)

When you read some of these accounts, you can see how a lot of the details in the canonical gospels can be seen as being made up by the author and not historical.

He is missing from are 12 to age 30. Why is there no book in the bible supposedly written by him?

What was the church trying to hide? Maybe the fact that Jesus spoke about enlightenment and NOT salvation.

Maybe the fact that he was married and had children.

Maybe the fact that he was only a man!!!!!!!!!!!!

the whole world around us is an illusion...it made of atoms..the connections between this atoms is electric..your thoughts is a result of an impression that you are getting from outside..that why the biggest sages in the world use to say that your body is what you eat..your mind is what you think and your actions are only a result of that....the stars are anyway controlling all our actions and only in lighted people
can be beyond that...the moon raise the sea level...mars control our love and anger....so actually we are all made of atoms and we are not ruled by any idea called god or religion..it is just the security that umen kind need to justify our existence...god in each one of us..i am god and you are god and together we can make god be better...
bless you

You have his birth, then he was taken to Egypt, then in the temple when he was 12 years old, then when he was baptized and his ministry began.
A Jewish priest was to be 30 yo. Jesus was 30 when he began his ministry.
His life before he began his ministry (apart from his birth) is not crucially important to our salvation. His life and death after is.
