If it was about the oil we would have invaded Venezuela and Canada.

You need to read up on which countries the US buys oil from.

.
Forget about the OIL and W.M.D. theory. It is what a good son will do to save DAD'S reputation.
It is part two of Desert Storm DAD'S WAR.
Dad left it half done .The son got some of the war loving American patriots and just went to war.Any one against the war is not a patriot.End of story.

i asked my husband about the WMD and his comment was that Saddam had the weapons moved before we got there. Of course he has only been to Iraq twice and has seen anything(note the sarcasm). Some Americans seem to think Saddam was a stupid man that couldnt figure out what our soldiers were going for once they stepped foot in Iraq. Please. Remember those millions of U.S dollars the soldiers found that Saddam hid...I wonder why he would do anything stupid like that(again note the sarcasm)... So think...really think...yes there was WMD and no our soldiers did not find them...because we weren't dealing with an idoit..

It was about oil - more importantly how that oil was being sold by Saddam. He sold it in Euros and not dollars which was damaging to the US economy and remains a big threat to the US economy.

As for the clowns who state that the WMDs were moved I ask how this can be. The US stated that they knew exactly where they were and obviously had them under satellite observation and other types of observation. Thus if they were being moved the US would have stopped them. If they were moved prior to the invasion why did the US still invade? There were then NO WMDs in Iraq as they were now in Syria. Why has the US not invaded Syria who now alledgedly possess these WMDs? It simply doesn't add up and is a bulls**t argument.

N O, This is false. The WMD's were moved out of Iraq, possibly to Syria and some reports to Iran
and then to the Baku Valley in Lebanon!!

it wasn´t all about the oil, but that definitaly played a role in the decision making process.

the oil is a bonus, our material reward.

its like,
ok, we get rid of a dictator that´s been a thorn in our side for decades, we give the middle east thier first democracry, first taste of freedom, maybe if iraq can be free and safe, it will be the catalyst of change in that region. also, now we´ll have a foot-hold in this ******** part of the world jsut in case the shít really hits the fan.

between all of these lines is the word terrorism btw.

and finally as a reward for our efforts, we get the oil.

Bush wanted to invade Iraq because he has a psychological complex where he feels he must succeed where his father failed. His advisers and supporters helped him trick the American people and Congress into approving the invasion of Iraq because many of them would stand to gain great financial benefits from the extra OIL and due to contracts being given to weapon manufacturers like Haliburton. In terms of freeing the Iraqi people....they're worse off now than they were under the leadership of Saddam and in terms of the safety of the U.S. --- we're in a lot more danger of terrorism because of the invasion of Iraq.

everyone that thinks its about oil. has know idea what they are talking about. if iraq had alot of shoes it would be all about the shoes. oil is just any excuse for people to be against the war. we ivaded iraq because suddam was a terrorist.

Well look at it from this perspective.

We took down the Saddam regime, which was one of our goals.

We freed the Iraqi people fro Saddam, even though they are now killing each other.

We rolled up the Iraqi army, only to let them go and change clothes and shoot at us again.

There obviously is no WMD there.

So, why else are we still there, taking casualties and spending billions of dollars???
THE OIL!
