China isn't going to do much. Their economy is growing rapidly and here comes bunch of wealthy nations telling China to reduce green house gas when in fact it is those wealthy nations like US, Britain who caused this global warming.

China is quite angry others are trying to 'limit' their economic growth.

It's wonderful America have now decided to finally get on board & yes every little bit has got to help, but It's still a major worry now with China & India cause all the people are getting money to buy cars & thats going to do untold damage
but I still think it was the burning of all the oil wells in Iraq that has hastened things up

I don't necesserely agree with the global warming theory. Yes it is true that the earth is warming but how do we know that this isn't just the cycle of the earth? How do we know this didn't happen a billion years ago and now the cycle is just coming around again. We had the ice age at one point, maybe there were too may dinosaur belches and it caused the ice age! No one knows for sure so why be worried about the unknown and point fingers when no one really knows!

I really doubt it. China is pumping more pollutants into the air from their mills, and not one word, not ONE has been said in years, because they really don't care to help out the world. All they want to do is make money. Mean time, the US is getting politically slammed on this issue, and we are trying a lot to take care of our share.

It's a small step in the right direction.

But Bush's words amount to this:

"OK, you got me. The overwhelming scientific evidence means I can no longer go on pretending this is not real. So my plan is....

to put this off until after I leave office."

I think it gives the government another way to waste taxpayers money. If the government would take half of all that they waste on a problem that is more or less a ficticious problem that we can't control and start spending it on real problems like crime, illegal immigration, etc., we would be a lot better off.
