If he is lying down, make sure he is not lying on his back. There have been cases of people vomiting and drowning on their own vomit. Make sure he is lying on his side. Put a bucket or a waste can near him.
If you want to wake him up, throw him into a cold shower and keep him there until he wakes up and fill him with hot coffee. Throwing him into a cold shower does not always work. We did it in Germany during winter time with a guy and he just lay on the shower room floor for half an hour shivering. We got him out of the shower and bundled him up to prevent hypothermia.
Coffee doesn't rid the person of his drunkenness. It just makes him a wide-awake drunk.
If the guy gets drunk frequently, he may need to have professional help. Alcoholism was a problem when I was in the Army, and many of the people I knew were "functioning alcoholics. " You may need to get him counseling and into a 12-step program. The most difficult thing may be to get him to realize that he has a problem.

Being sick is the best thing for him. Vomitting will get rid of some of the alcohol in his system. Best other thing is to let him sleep.Give him plenty of liquids-water, but not coffee.Boy! Is he going to have a Hangover. I should know.Fortunately I no longer drink. One of these days he;ll figure out it just isn't worth it. Good Luck!

Just keep a bucket near him. Have him sleep it off. Give him some pepto bismal if you have any. He might have an upset stomach for the rest of the day. Ginger ale is good for that or 7 up.

past puking, give him some electrolyte, glucose, or lime water with suger and ask him to sleep on his side, not on the back. He will be ok after 9-10 hours alcoholic sleep. see that he does not drink tomorrow night, as alcohol takes 24 hours or more to clean out from the body.
Do not argue. (i.e. Now).

I think some fresh water and then off to bed. Sex the next morning works well against hangovers in my experience. I wouldn't recommend coffee, since it causes more dehydration. Maybe some tea, juice or milk. But water is always good.

ah yes the college days again. first thing first let him pass out. next, make sure he is nekked then commence playing barbie with him as barbie. do use excessive makeup. a great photo of this will motivate him to be more sensible with alchol consumption in the future. and if ya wanna be a little more mischevious put one hand in a bowl of water and make sure you do not have to sleep where he is lying.

You could have ready a warm wet cloth for him to wipe his face/hands-dilute some mouthwash in water for him to rinse with-offer some warm milk or dry toast for his stomach and tuck him in bed. In the morning he will want aspirin and his favorite caffeinated beverage-some more toast would be a good idea too.

Don't argue with him. just let him be and let him have his say. Guide him out of the comfort room, make him lie down somewhere comfortable and loosen up his clothes so he can relax. Give him a sponge bath and if he's still not sleepy make him drink a nice cup of coffee.
