Stress can motivate you to finish something you start or motivate change. People who aren't in some way "stressed" will generally be stagnant and not do what they need to be doing. (Vague, right!?)

There is an ongoing debate about this in the mental health fields. One group says all stress is harmful. Another group says stress can be motivating and although having some harmful effects, can spur us to greater growth. The key words are survivor, resilience, and thrive. It is a fascinating topic but you are better off reading some books than looking at a few short answers here.

You may be more alert.....sometimes it puts you on edge, so you pay more attention...........sad thing is you don't sleep.
