i am a 19 year male i want to change my name ,can any one suggest me a good nane with its meaning
currently for the last five years i hold a yahoo id samratkalinga@yahoo.com this is just an id ,so my first choice is samrat but i donot know its meaning ,how many like this name samrat ! shall i change to this name ,if you have any other name give me that name

I think the name samrat kalinga is cool beyond words. Dont change it. Samrat is a king. Kalinga was a province in King Asoka's days. It was unvincible. It could not be conquered. It was the "ambition" of Asoka to conquer it. So it makes ur name mean king of a unvincible kingdom.

Samrat means King of Kings, the best and biggest KING of all. It's a good name but quiet an old fashioned one.
Why do you need to change your name? It's your identity. Why change it now. Secondly, what name you like depends entirely on you. It should suit your background, upbringing, experience, mental makeup et al.

samrat means king or raja...which was used in the olden days..it's a great name...i also like the name satyakam which means truth teller kind of deal...
why do you want to change your name though? A name is given to you by your parents with much thought and emotion...

well,samrat means badshah i.e. king and kalinga was a state in old india around 3000 yers old. your name is ok. why u want to change it? u r king of kalinga; u can become king of any state by adding samrat to state name.

u r all for wars and kings it seems.....samrat means king, kalinga was the place of a famous war, but its not a very good idea, stick with ur original name and make your personality, attitude and brains count....

yes here is the 1 and the only meaning.
samrat is the emperor and the kalinga was the place and there was the only battle that no 1 can forget.it is the king ashoka.that place is in orissa.

At your age, I can understand your enthusiasm for change. I would like to caution you against changing for the sake of change. What is wrong with your present nomenclature? To me, the name I have been given by my parents as good as myself. I cannot dissociate myself with that name. It is part of me. I wish you start loving your name, as you love yourself.
