This is not going to make much difference at this point of his education. As children evolve (especially through puberty), many of their priorities change and they may or may not continue to put forth the same effort in high school, as they did in their earlier studies.

Until he reaches grade 11-12, there is no point in making a big deal about his early "achievements". This is not to take anything away from his current achievements, as it is great that he is doing well, but don't get too optimistic until the appropriate time comes.

NO! He needs to take COLLEGE PREP course in HIGH School: 4 years each of English, Social Studies, Foreign Language, Math. 3 years of science. 1 year of Fine Arts. He should either be in a school-based club or organization; in sports; OR do volunteer work or be active in his church, outside of school. He needs at least one thing on his resume besides good school work.

Junior High is a difficult time for kids. Here one is to work on socialization and school work. Both are equally important. Please stop putting too much pressure on your kid. The SAT predicts how a kid does in school, not in life itself. He needs to be well-rounded. Also a college degree doesn't always mean you get a good job. It can help though. Make sure he explores lots of careers. A degree in history and the like means he'll most likely end up as a teacher. Business gives higher paying jobs. The medical field gives good jobs. see what I'm getting at?

Well resumes should be filled with signifigant items while he's in 8th, 9th and 10th he can start with 7th and or 8th achievements but when he's older he should focus on what has to be there.
