Make sure your speakers are timbre' matched to each other, this usually involves purchasing the same series of speakers from a manufacture. Klipsh are a good choice, but this is subjective to my taste, listen to them first. The denon is a great receiver but make sure it has a little more than you need right now. A sub should be timbre' matched to the speakers, but this is not as critical for good sound, klipsh makes a great line of subs.
Another thing to consider is your interconnects, make sure they are good quality. You may want to consider a power filtration system as well. The klipsh are known to have issues with bad power, but you should do filtration anyway.
Good luck !

Klipsch will definitely outperform the Bose. Go Bose if space is an issue and you have a very small room.
I own Klipsch.
Older non reference series towers all around, SF3 in front and SF2 in the rears. and their largest center channel.
I have a reference sub, the 10 not the 12 it hits hard enough to shake pictures off the wall 3 bedrooms away.
Yamaha receiver. I think its a htr 5060 but its a few years old I do know that the last 2 numbers are 60. Either way I absolutely love it.
I use to sell Ht equipment back in college and that is when I picked up this setup. I won't upgrade for quite a few years but when my buddies come over they still say I've got the best setup for the money and would have to spend a lot to get little better stuff. I like the Def Tech Mythos line
Note: Klipsch are a love em or hate em speaker. Make sure you test them out if you haven't already. Obviously i love them.
(Anything but Bose! ;)

Hi .Both the Yamaha and the Denon are good receivers.Onkyo has a new 7.1 channel Receiver for less than $300.It is the model no.TXS R503 which is great value for the money. If you are going to use Klipsch as your main speakers,it is best to use that brand for your surround speakers to keep the sound uniform.
Here is the link for the onkyo in case you are interested

My recommendation would be to check out the Wharfedale Diamond 9 or Evolution 2 series of loudspeakers. Many of the models sound better or on par with many B & W models at half the cost.
Additionally, I have directly compared Evolution 2 series Wharfedale Speakers against older Klipsch Legend 30's which used to be there top-of-the-line and still considered one of there best. And the Wharfedale kicked them in the teeth and were built better.
You can see them here:

Samsung Electronics HT-D550 Home Theater System is player works great. Plays DVDs, divx, mp3, etc... The Amazon description says it's wifi enabled but IT IS NOT. I was hoping to get a player that would play media off of my network, but I researched before I bought it and no other site said it had wi-fi, so I was mostly just hoping. Mysteriously, Samsung has no mention of this product on their website. Using the HDMI connection, if you turn this player on and put a disk in, my TV turns on and changes itself to the correct input. It's so easy that my 18 month old has learned how to get a movie going. The sound is great too. I had a philips home theater system before and the center channel was always too low. It was booming bass out of the subwoofer before the center channel was loud enough to hear voices. With this Samsung, the voices are clear and crisp. And the bass is great when you want it too. I really like the "touch sensitive" buttons. It's so easy to clean sticky kids fingerprints off the face.

I just purchased the Yamaha VHT-380. Very impressed for surround and for music. Stay away from Bose, they are great for surround but not good just listening to music.
