First of all we dont have to mix the religions with the interests of the people, or with the reactions towards a behavoiur of the Big Powers...
No religion says that you have to kill.All teach love and peace.
Lets take the case of the christians...We are not saints also...
Dont forget how many countries have been concured by the christians in Africa, and how much blood has been lost in south America in the name of christianism.And in reality, the religion had nothing to do with the fundamentalism of the spanish or other europeans, since they wanted to concurr rich earths.
Taking the case of islam, the arabs(and i underline the arabs)saved the greek ancient letters and writers when christianism had burnt them..and in all the arabic countries, where there are churches they are respected and conservated.(the case of the Patriarcate in Egypt)..As we also respect their mosques..
If they use nowdays the religion(and this by the fanatic, as there are fanatics in all religions)is to react against the fundamentalism of the Big Powers which have oppresed during those years the developpement of some arabic countries..
Lets be objective..
Some people having the only arm(and this due to the lack of education)to fight the religion, use it to protest, and to concurr...
But it is not like that, because we have been taught that God is one for all..
Jehad is not connected to islam, as the events in south America are not connected to christianism...

The Quran can easily be intepreted as a violent system, and that is what is happening in parts of the world. So that is why fundemental and Islam together mean the militant mob. What is the Islamic world doing to stop these militant fundamental Islamists, not very much if anything at all... which equates to tacit support. And you wonder why people misrepresent parts of your religion?

The answer given to the question is an intentional lie. The author probably knows that islam is very specific about jihad and the so called muslim extremists adhere very strictly to the fundamentals of islam as described in both the Koran and the various sahih hadiths. However, there is an aspect of islam that many non-muslims are unaware of, that is the concept of intentionally lying to make non-muslims easier prey. This concept, known as "taqqiya", is sanctioned by Muhammad himself. So what you are presenting here is an example of "taqqiya", intentionally lying to non-muslims about the nature of islam so that non-muslims will continue to think of islam as a peaceful religion without political ambitions.
