the drama that comes with relationships... honey if she's been treating you like that your doing more than the right thing.... she wants to be with whoever and do whatever let her go... I swear all same sex relationships have this problem.... sweetie don't touchier yourself, you don't need her but she will try to keep you within reaching distance so when this fling doesn't work out she has you to fall on... If i were you I would forget about her don't take her back in 2 weeks or a year it's done over with you deserve better you were the faithful one....
good luck!!!

Why the question? The "right thing" is to do what you want to do. If you want to maintain a friendship with her, do so. Consider that for 5 years you found her to be great and wonderful. She hasn't changed. You are the one who is changing. That's all right but be sure you know what is happening. She is comfortable, you are not. You can be friends with her, just on somewhat different terms than before. Live with it. You may have lost a lover but have the opportunity to have a truly great girlfriend, in the truest sense of the word "girlfriend". Think of how wonderful it would be to be able to talk to a girl and know that there is no possibility of sex involved, just good friendship. Go for it.

Time to move on. It is her loss. It is normal not to want to be friends right now. You need time to get over the pain of finding out that she does not love you any more.

If you are bitter and can't forgive her for hurting you the way she did than I would advise you not be her friend. You would only be hurting yourself if you tried to be her friend. But if you can forgive her and really don't want to lose her totally than be her friend. I'm not saying be her friend but forgiving her is part of healing. Do what you feel you can handle.

If you don't want to be friends, then don't be friends. She cheated on you, why would you want to spend time with someone who betrayed you that way?
Tell her that you've moved on and hanging on to any kind of relationship is destructive to you. Then do it. You can make new friends, you don't need her.

She wants you to be there when she needs you and not the other way around. If you don't want to be used, let her know that she lost a good thing, and say goodbye. You deserve better and you know it!
