Reaction to violence by muslims, moderate or fanatical have historically been only one-sided. They mount vehement protests when muslims are being decimated, usually resulting in several deaths but become placid when non-muslims gets slaughtered. They even react with the same emotional intensity when something relatively innocuous like mere pictures of Muhammad were presented and published in Danish newspapers. What is the cause of such behavioral discrepancies? To answer that, one must research into their religion, the religion of islam.
In islam, muslims are taught that their religion is superior to all other religions. This propanganda is clearly illustrated by their infamous prayer, "Allahu Akbar", which means Allah (the God of Islam) is greater or greatest. Greater than who you might ask, it means greater than everyone else, greater than the christians, the jews, the hindus, the buddist and greater than the gods of the other religions. As such, muslims have a paucity of respect for members of other faiths. They might feel disgusted at their fellow co-religionist killing priests and deacons but that act alone is not enough to drive them emotionally to protest, let alone protest with the same vigour as when muslims are getting killed.
Another point is that in islam, muslims are taught not to befriend christians and jews as well as non-believers in general. This is explicitly stated in the Quran (see quotes in source list). The Quran calls non-belivers evil and they will certainly end up in hell. With this in mind, how can one expect a muslim to show sympathy for priests and deacons?
In conclusion, a muslim in the course of his islamic education has been taught to belittle and be condescending to non-muslims. It is with little surprise that muslims, moderate or fundamental are not inspired emotionally to protest when non-muslims are being killed.

I wonder if Muslims know that the minute a Muslim detainee over here gets a pimple or stubs his toe, there are Westerners here who write and call their community leaders, write to the papers and protest outside City Halls and government buildings calling for the halt to what they call "torture." I wonder if they know how many Islamic Extremist suspects get released with nothing but a slap on the wrist for coming to our country and plotting to kill OUR people!

No outrage cos moderate muslims are muslims whose sole purpose is to fool the world into the thinking that islam is peaceable when its not.

If at anytime you see muslims reacting in outrage to these killings, you should buy them lunch/dinner because they risk getting killed themselves for supporting infidels.
