The Australian Aboriginals have a creation myth that is intimately linked to the land. They have never considered themselves the owners of the land, but a part of it, and it a part of them.
They have been successful in applying their beliefs and storys to form this relationship with the land, and with each other, for over 50 thousand years.
Until white settlement, they had no concept of your relatively new creation myth fabricated in the middle east around 2000 yrs ago, and were a successful and well adjusted society before the pyramids were even thought of..
To claim your beliefs are the one and only true beliefs are so incredibly ignorant and narrow minded when other far more ancient creation myths are also on the table. They are no more or less real than your creation myths, yet they don't ram it down everyones necks or claim the only truth..
Christianity looks very insular, ignorant, self serving, arrogant, and confrontational compared to more ancient myths.
True..??

First of all, Judaism is older than 2000 years old, and it's older even than the Bible. The events that took place in Genesis, for example, happened quite a long time before they were written down.
Before that, it had been an oral tradition. Now, how do we know that it wasn't like a game of telephone? Well, lots of people DON'T know that. However, I've come to believe that the events were actually written down correctly, because archaeology backs them up.
Anyway, the only thing about the Aborigines existing for so long, is that it throws the idea of a young earth out the window. That's fine. Most Christians actually DON'T believe in a young earth. I don't.
The way I look at it is, no religions are invalid. However, for thousands of years, man has been attempting to use religion as a way to reach God. There's only ONE religion that was God's attempt to reach US. And there's plenty of archaeological, scientific, medical, and historical FACTS to back up Christianity.
Most Christians just aren't aware of them. They walk by "faith" alone. I'm a doubter, I can't do that. So I had to find facts. And I did.

Although Christianity was formed by the followers of Christ about 2000 years ago, it's basis is millennium older. Insulting Christians may be a new pastime but it actually makes one appear more ignorant.

I just feel bad for people who never question whatever is told them and blindly believe what they're ordered to believe. I feel fortunate to be a free-thinker and entertain a variety of possibilities concerning creation, change my mind if something more convincing comes along and explore my own ideas instead of some guy who tells me he's better than me because he talks to God personally.
I reserve the right to believe what I personally feel is true; not what someone has been ramming down my throat since I was a kid and certainly not someone who tries to terrify me with stories of a vengeful, wrathful destroying God. I just don't buy it. I wish others would use a little discrimination in what they choose to believe also.

I'm sure that some people just can't contain themselves. Like government people thinking that everyone should know Math and English. How stupid of them. What do we need them for? Just fills our brains with junk we don't need or use, unless it's for baking or cooking, or insulting each other over vast distances...

I love the fact that the 30,000 year old cave paintings in Europe are on a "6,000 year old Earth". Excellent point, and more evidence that a 6,000 year old Earth is a ridiculous idea.
