Don’t worry about that; it’s a common expression that no one, let alone your priest, would think less of you for using. Worry instead about the poor example you’re setting for children with your terrible spelling and grammar (not to mention your egregious use of capitalization). And just think how embarrassed you’d be if father knew you couldn’t spell “priest.”

Since you feel so bad, just apologize the the priest next time you see him. That's all there is to it, no reason to lose sleep over the incident.

Did you know the Orthodox Jews won't say "God" unless it is in the context of Divine Worship. The so revere the name of God, they won't use words referring to Him unless they're in prayer.

We should learn to emulate this practice, because we'd all be less apt to use the Lord's name in vain.

I don't think what you did constitutes taking the Lord's name in vain but, at the same time, perhaps we should not be in the habit of treating the Lord's name so casually even in circumstances that do not constitute sin.

No that's OK, catholic priests are not after babies, more into preadolescent boys...
