There are many reasons, here's my top 3:

1. Many of them are teenagers who, for some reason, never HAD to learn how to spell.

2. Many of them are part of cyberculture and are caught up in leetspeak, which means that they may be able to spell things like ROTFLMAO, but the spelling of many things is felxible (i.e. woot vs. w00t vs. w007)

3. Nobody cares enough to make them learn. we pretty much just accept it and do our best to read through it and get the meaning. It's jsut not imoptrnat if we can unredtsnad it wehn it's splleed wonrg.

Spelling,it's too English. It's too proper. It's too Victorian era for this cool and modern world we live in.
Spelling is for English teachers or language teachers. Why should I be concerned with such little details if the Universe keeps expanding, There's Global warming & females showing their skin on a warm day ?

Too much time trying to act grown up and not enough time paying attention in school--do you see the teenie bopper sex questions--10 year olds worried about breast and penis size?? I wonder where the parents are--oh I know--cheating and drinking--not caring about their kids. We will just be a world of 16 year old moms in trailer parks --drunk and stupid--watching Jerry Springer and COPS--waiting for the drunk hubby to come home to whoop some ass. Did you ever wonder why terror is so easy to come to the USA??? A country full of stupid low life idiots. There are kids complaining that their folks do ground them for being bad---geee isn't that a novelty.

Because it's the internet and most people could care less about spelling, grammar or punctuation? Just a guess.

Either they do not know how, or are just too lazy to care.

Its really not that hard, this is also one of my pet peeves and it drives me crazy when people spell the easiest words wrong.

But were not perfect, we all make errors i guess.

I don't know, but it is definitely one of my pet peeves! That check spelling button is there for a reason.

That and also why so many people ask a question and leave it hanging halfway??? Like:

"Can anyone tell me about...?"
"Why is he not...."

I mean, if you are doing that because you're afraid we won't read the question otherwise because its a silly question, then please don't ask it!
