Asthma can definitely be triggered by allergies. Your mom needs to go to the ER now. If she has an albuterol inhaler, that's what she needs until she can get there.

Give her her inhaler if she has one and call 911! Remind her to breath and STAY CALM! Make sure she is sitting up, tell her to breath in through her nose and out through her mouth.
Go now and help her.

Take her to the emergency room, as soon as possible, like now! Call 911!!
