I want to smile, grin, and laugh badly, but my cheeks hurt a lot for some reason when I smile.

Try this trick that photographers use when people's cheeks start twitching from forcing smiles for too long - with your mouth closed, gently blow up your cheeks like a balloon, and hold it like that for about 10 seconds. I think this relaxes the muscles in the cheeks by stretching them out.

Maybe your cheek muscles aren't strong enough. Practice smiling five or six times a day, and work up.

If it really hurts, though, it's worthwhile to check with a doctor. It maybe a muscle disease. Nothing to laugh about.

Is it that your skin gets taut or do the muscles ache or is it something else? The solution depends on the cause.

I have never heard of anything you can take for that. I'd call your doctor and make an appointment.
