well, i either give you a list of songs OTHER PEOPLE like OR i suggest that you talk it over w/ your fiancee and try to remember if there was a time in your lives (while together) a particular song reminded you or gave you fond memories of each other. OR if you know a good musician, write whats in your hearts and have someone compose the music and sing it, OR perhaps a beautiful musical piece with no lyrics...check the title to make sure it ahs something positive to do with love and togetherness....CONGRATULATIONS!!!! to you both.

Try Pachelbehl's "Canon in D" for your processional. It gets the tears going every time. I find myself getting teary during this selection. I am a wedding musician and as many times as I've played this piece, I never tire of it, and the couples and wedding attendees seem to love it. It gives a real sense of peace, tenderness and with a little bit of 'serious' contemplative depth. Everyone seems to recognize it. Another popular choice is the classic: "Here comes the Bride". It is absolutely beautiful and it seems brides LOVE it. By the way, I play the harp and its a lovely instrument to choose for a ceremony.

Insider Tip: Live music sets a beautiful tone. Many harpists, string quartets or trios, duos and classical guitarists are surprisingly affordable. Check around for talented professionals, call the musicians union referral, and even universities can refer you to talented students (but make sure they are comfortable in a wedding setting and have good experience - playing a wedding is a VERY stressful job and you don't want your musician to "freeze up with fear" because of lack of experience). Be sure to listen to your wedding musician (in person) before you hire them, its important, and also ask how many weddings they have performed. And whether you want the beauty of classical music or something more modern or contemporary that you love, your musician can probably play it for you. I've played everything from classical music to James Taylor, to Sting to Beatles to Elvis to Appalachian folk songs to beautiful Irish music for a processional selection. Your special song selection is up to you - but if you need help choosing, a wedding musician can certainly guide you and play different ideas for you. Above all, Have fun with your wedding and make it personal - its your day!

Try something classical. Canon in D is pretty popular.

In the Friends Wedding, Monica and Chandler picked "Nobody Does It Better".

Everyone will be crying anyway, so pick something special to you and your groom.

My aunt walked down to "At Last" by Etta James. I walked to "the Bridal March" by Jonathan Cain (a beautiful piano version). Good luck!

Find an instrument you like, and let someone play a couple of songs for you so you can pick. My sister married with a flute, playing i don't know what, but it was beautiful, lol.
