If I haven't heard of them ( I haven't) then they usually aren't any good.
Called a buddy and he had one by chance. The deal is reminecent of Bose( Better sound thru marketing). The speakers are badly constructed, the receiver has no modern inputs and no digital decoder so you need a external decoder or DVD to give descrete outs. The amplifer is rated at 400W but no mention is made how this value is made. The TTL transistors amplifiers( no MOSFET mind you) are ones rated similarly to a 10 W per channel Wal-mart system I fixed for a neice of mine.
I agree it is a deceptive scam in how they are marketed. But for a surround system for a childs bedroom, I wouldn't spend more than $50 US on one.
Note I couldn't find any information on UL or CE listings for this product so it may be ILLEGAL to buy or sell one in the US.

Robert is right. Divinci is a "white van" speaker scam. The people involved in this scam are the scum of the audio world. There are many different brand names involved in this scam but they all share several common elements: 1) They are never sold in a venue in which you can listen to them first. 2) They are always sold in some context that leads you to believe you are getting a once in a lifetime deal. 3) The brand has an elaborate website that looks impressive. 4) The speakers are VERY cheaply made and then GREATLY overpriced. They are then offered somewhere at a "reduced" price that is still about ten times more than the speakers are worth. 5) You can not get a refund. If you do a search for "white van speakers" or "white van speaker scam" you will find quite a few articles on this (including a pretty good one at Wikipedia). Divinci (there is a legitimate DaVinci [note the spelling difference] brand of outdoor speakers) is one of the most notorious of these scam brands flooding the market at the moment.

Robert is right. Do a search for "white van speakers" or "white van speaker scam" to learn more about this scam which the DiVinci brand is a part of. They are offered as the deal of a lifetime but are not worth a fraction of the so called sale price.
