There is no way to keep your hair from turning green, but each time you get out of the pool and take your shower, squeeze some lemon into your hair and that will get rid of it. You can buy shampoos that get rid of it, but they cost more than a lemon and they do the same thing. =)

Bleached hair is especially susceptible to turning green from the chlorine in the water. First, you must use high quality hair products, and Nexus is the best in my professional opinion and experience, to keep your hair in the best possible condition to start with. Next, you must wear a good quality swim cap that doesn't leak (ask a swim shop.) The last one I bought about 15 years ago was $25. Don't be tempted to buy a cheaper one and use petroleum jelly around the edges. The petroleum jelly won't wreck your hair, but what you'd have to do get it out, will.
The swim shops will have a shampoo for removing the chlorine from your hair. Only use this for immediately after you swim. For the rest of the time, use the professional salon shampoo.

First, make sure that your hair is not dried out. Use a conditioner before you go swimming, so that the hair follicles aren't soaking up as much chlorine (try a leave in conditioner if you can). Then, after swimming, wash you hair using a shampoo specially for getting the green out of hair, like Green Out (check the Internet).
Or, you could just dye your hair green for the summer. lol

Use a swim cap. I know, they ain't cute, your aunt Meema prolly uses 'em, but they will keep your chemically stressed hair from getting discolored or damaged by chlorine.
Also, some brands make shampoos and conditions to counteract the chlorine exposure.
