I honestly dont lead others in prayer unless asked by that person and I really feel like I'll do my best of it at that time. What are your thoughts on leading prayer and being lead in it?

I believe God has granted me direct access to his throne and the Bible encourages me to go boldly before the throne and present my petitions to the Lord. I mostly tend to ask someone to lead me in prayer if I know him or her and specially if I'm overwhelmed by anxiety, but under normal circumstances I go to God and ask directly for what I need. However, God is so good that most of my prayers are of thanksgiving and for that I am happy to go to him and tell him directly how thankful I'm.

The most knowledgeable person at the congregation should lead prayer, and preferably a man if women is there. A women should only speak among other women. Leading prayer you should always thank your Lord. The one God who created everything that exist. You also shouldn't let non believers of the one God lead prayer.

If a person wants to lead in prayer, that is ok. If they do not feel comfortable doing so, they should decline. If someone does not feel comfortable with someone who is leading them in prayer, they should slip out and wait until the prayer is over, perhaps saying their own prayer.

If someone asks me for prayer,I instantly go to God the Father for guidance through the Holy Spirit.Sometimes I can't pray the way they want me to,but just that Gods will be done in their situation, but most of the time I feel the freedom to ask God for whatever they are requesting. As for being led in prayer,I have to agree with the other person in prayer to allow myself to be led.Yes do be careful, you don't want to agree with wrong doctrine,or wrong motives.Remember God takes us at our words and we have to be careful what we say, whether it's praying or agreeing.

I think this is a great question. Our old minister was a gambler and a child molester and often lead us in prayer. I would hate GOD to think his views represented our views also. My father died late last year and WE are HOPING that GOD didnt mistake him for somebody that was like our old minister. He often lead prayers about the innocence of children and global weather patterns. Im not saying he has anything to do with GLOBAL WARMING or anything. But i WOULDNT be SURPRISED if HE WAS

Depends on what the person leading prayer is saying, if I disagreed or felt uncomfortable about anything being said, I'd say so right then and there.

I think it's wonderful either way. My 12 Y.O. grandson leads prayer at his home and mine.
Personally I would rather not but only because I'm shy in public but I would do the best I could.

Yes we should...the prayers of a righteous man avail much.

Any one can pray and not be for real..Does God hear all prayers?Sure . Yet I would like someone to pray for me that is not caught up in sin. I mean intently sinning and is a minister or a christian.

GREAT QUESTION !!!

I think you should be very selective on who you follow into prayer.

Of course there is proper protocol when dealing with family or people of respect. However when following someone else's guide into the meditative process of prayer, I believe it is a good idea to say your own - as what comes out of someon's mouth and what they believe can be very different.

Great question !
