I am not for illegal immigrants coming into our country but it is not their fault that they want a better working enviroment and a better living enviroment. It is our governments fault because we are too worried about what kind of freedom other countries have rather than stand up and let the enforcement officers inforce the laws that we already have? Once again it is the Wonderful Bush that are allowing this to all take place and just think alot of you that are fro Bush are the first to ***** about the illegal mexicans that are just trying to survive like the rest of us!!!

Well I'm a legal Mexican living in the US. I do not support illegal emmigration but at the same time I know why these people have to get here illegaly. It is a shame that my mexican goverment is so corrupted that decent people have to cross the border illegaly to try to feed their kids. I know I'm against illegal emmigration but I know that if my kids were hungry I would do what ever it would take to feed them. Is that what europeans did when they cross the sea to look for a new begining?? In fact they were worst since they kill the real natives of this continent. So before you make a racist comment think were and how your familly got here to this wounderfull land.

Peace

You know, illegal immigrants come here to work, but you need to understand something dear, they cross our borders and stay in our country 'illegally', which they are breaking the laws here....which makes them criminals. What part don't you understand? I know you feel sorry for them for wanting to have a better life here in America, but they are doing it all wrong. What they should all do is blame their government for them having to live that way. They should let their voices be heard and stand out in front of their government offices shouting to fix what is broken.

I am not putting illegals down, I am stating the truth here. What I put down is criminal acts that people do. So you must agree that criminals should be free in society for no matter what crime they do? Sure sounds like it.

And no, I wouldn't leave a prison just because their are no guards around....I wouldn't want to break more laws if I already broke one!

I agree. I don't hate them, but they still must go. Even if we left the door out for a prisoner. When they are caught again, they are expected to do even more time in prison. As for the Mexicans trying to survive like the rest of us. We are not trying to survive, but Prosper. THis is the same for Mexicans. The Mexicans are not starving, and their standard of living is about around the mean. I have far more sympathy for some of the central AMerican illegal immigrants, because conditions are far worse, and Malnutrition is bad in some of the countries there.

Many reasons-- Prejudice against racial or national background , moral basis of those who break the law or do as they see fit, irritation from affects, fear, rise in crime, security, values, wrath, they feel there is an irresponsibility on the people, cost, lack of respect by some on both sides, a lack of conformity by both, lack of Empathy, frustration, selfishness, greed, propaganda, emotional distress, some have to give more who don't have it to give, lack of control caused on schools-medical-programs, money a burden some can not afford, some have cut in front of others on waiting list--who went by order following the law, --the list goes on and on-could cover this page on why

Yes it is their fault--no one makes them break a law. We just temp them (both bad in my book) but the fault lies in the lawbreaker."Do you blame the women for wearing a short skirt more than a rapist? "Th fault lies in those who CHOOSE to break the law. This is not a case of starvation--not one case has been reported nor of someone holding guns to their heads. So need is ruled out---want is there.
Do we understand it--of course -we are not inhumane. Does are Government take advantage-- yes,not Just Bush -all take the blame .
Not everyone breaks the rules or laws for their desires--get over that that some do have values and stick to them no matter what. . Maybe some need to understand that. No,I don't think everyone would escape an open door--in fact we have had cases where they did not for many reasons--bad exsample.

On Illegals -who knows what the future will bring. There is enough room for all on the earth --we do need control and order to protect "all"life and to use our heads and not our mouths together will help--sporting untruths will not.

They key word is ILLEGAL. There are other people trying to come here legally, and there are other people coming here illegally who think they have the right to come here without going through the whole process.

Yes, it is their fault... they can actually muster up some respect and honor and do things the right way. Do you take advantage of any situation that is ethically wrong just to get ahead... in other words... who are you willing to step on and walk all over just to get ahead?

I agree... Bush is wrong to go with that drunk buffoon Kennedy on this bill... But here is a little news flash... that border has been open for.... EVER! and illegals didn't just start coming here when Bush took office.

I don't put down illegals. I merely state facts.

They are far more likely to utilize our social programs like welfare, food stamps, WIC, etc.

They are more likely to commit felonies. 15-25% of state prison populations are illegals. 25% of our federal prison inmates are illegals. Only about 5-7% of the population are illegals.

They are uneducated and low-income.

They reproduce at a high rate. This is a common thread among 3rd world country citizens. It currently costs over $10,000 per student per year in our public schools. We simply cannot afford to educate the world.

If allowed citizenship they will bring in anywhere from 20-60 million more family members, many of whom will receive social program benefits immediately. Elderly parents will get social security yet never have to contribute.

They are far more likely to have diseases and other costly health issues. This burdens our already overwhelmed hospitals and WE end up paying the bill.

They don't respect us enough to learn english and they demand that we let them become citizens. Then they expect us to pay for their english lessons.

There are many other reasons too.

The point is they are illegal. What happens is they come here and get assistance and American Citizens are turned away.... when we paid into every fund they are allowed to take from.
Now, here's my question to you. If you put money into a bank account of sorts every week without fail, and someone came along and started taking it out wouldn't you be ticked off ???

I also understand why Islamic fundamentalists who desperate need to stop free speech in the free world to preserve their way of life might seek the destruction of the United States.

That doesn't mean I'm going to allow it. That would be silly.

I don't blame illegal immigrants. I do try to stop them.

We don't owe them to allow them to skip the immigration felony check, the serious contagious disease check, the minimal job skills check, the U.S. government knowledge check.

illegals are breaking the laws of this country. They come here, take advantage of our services, don't pay taxes, and then are stupid enough to be exploited by the people who pay them nothing. But we can't afford the illegals here. I have no problem with people coming to this country to live a better life, but do it legally. I agree with you bush and others have allowed this to take place. but hopefully the will of the people was heard today when this bill died in the senate. I am all for immigration reform, but just not amnesty
