Hugh Laurie is actually quite unattractive in his previous roles. Physically, he isn't gorgeous. His face is skinny, his eyes are huge and kind of bulge...yet as House, he IS hot. Why is this?

Maybe you are attracted to the bad boy image and/or sense of humour. For me personally I had no idea who the hell Hugh Laurie was until House. Now I recognise him in movies and programmes all the time! I find him attractive in all the roles he has played. But hey, thats just me I guess. Lol

Based on movies like Stuart Little and Maybe Baby, you are right, he was not all that and a bag of chips, to quote an old saying. On House, though, his eyes are so baby blue, his five oclock shadow and maybe even his clothes make him look fanfrickintastic! I love those Hugh dreams I sometimes have. goodnight lol

I don't now why but he is really hot in House... In Blackadder he looked... well, not so good. Maybe in his case it came with age.
